The Cutting Garden

The Cutting Garden at Stone Circle Farm is an opportunity to spend time in the flower field during the most beautiful hours of the day.

The best time to cut is in the morning and again in the late afternoon, when stems are cool and well-hydrated. Working with the rhythm of the field ensures you leave with flowers that last as flowers cut during the hottest time of the day won't hold up as long on your table.

This is not a festival or open farm day. It is a quiet window of time to move slowly through the rows, choose what speaks to you, and fill your jar.

As you wander, you’ll find small signs placed among the beds sharing flower folklore, seasonal notes, and growing observations from the field. We hope they invite you to look a little closer.

After cutting, guests are welcome to settle at the picnic tables in our shaded grove. You are welcome to bring snacks and drinks to enjoy during your session.

Important Notes

  • Buy your ticket and pick up your jar in our market barn when you arrive at the farm.

  • Children must be accompanied by an adult with a ticket and have their own ticket if they plan to make a bouquet.

  • Dogs are not permitted in the cutting garden.

  • Please cut only from designated flower rows. Red flagged blocks cannot be cut.

  • Snips are provided and must be returned before leaving.

By purchasing a ticket, guests acknowledge that they are participating in an outdoor agricultural activity and assume normal risks associated with farm environments.
