About the event

Using herbs for healing and nourishment is our birthright. It is in our bones, we just need to "remember" how to do it. When I started working with herbs it felt like a remembering- that feeling you get when something seems familiar or like you have done it before. Generations of our ancestors-for thousands of years-have grown and used herbs for food, household use, medicine and their scent.. Warning: Once you reawaken this memory you may find you have run out of yard to put your herbs and flowers!

Join us for an early fall day on the farm for a discussion of herb folklore and history and some practical knowledge of growing, drying and using a few select herbs. This is a small group talk that is tailored for those just beginning their love affair with herbs!

We will start with an informal talk about lore and herb properties, learn about practical herb growing tips and tricks, do a herbal tea tasting with some of the Stone Circle Farm medicinal tea blends and have a bite to eat-oh and some great conversation! (Vegetarians reach out to me before you buy a ticket)

You will be able to take home an herb plant to get your backyard apothecary started and some recipes for using herbs around the house and in food.

Brie + Apple Crostini- Farm Honey, Pecans + Edible Flowers

Tea Sandwich- Charred Eggplant, arugula

Charcuterie+ Cheese Grazing

Shortbread Cookies-Roasted Apple Jam, whipped cream
