2024 CSA Share, 20 weeks

2024 CSA Share, 20 weeks

$620.00Price

What you get: A weekly share of veggies and fruits from May through September. In the spring expect things like asian greens, radishes, carrots, turnips, snap peas and lettuce. In the summer come the tomatoes, melons, squash, berries and so much more. This box is great for a veggie loving person or couple or a family who enjoy some vegetables during the week. If you are a heavy veggie family, we suggested two shares. A 20-week share is $31.00 a week, $620, for $800 worth of produce if you didn't purchase a CSA in advance!

CSA Member Perks:

Pasture Raised Meats: Not only do you get more than your investment back in produce we are also offering CSA customers access to local, pasture raised beef, poultry, and pork  We are excited to be supporting these farmers and offering the opportunity to our CSA members to never have to purchase factory farmed meat again.

Local Scallops:

Happy Valley Berry Farm: We are so excited to be partnering with Wes and Shirley Kline of Happy Valley Berry Farm in Millville who grow, among other things, the absolute best strawberries you have ever eaten in your life! They are a no-spray farm that use organic methods to grow wonderful berries. They are also some of the best people we know. These berries will be making their way into your boxes and also will be available as add-ons and in our Saturday market.

Recipes: One of the perks of a farmer who was also a chef and restaurant owner is that we will make sure you guys have preparation and cooking tips as well as recipes for the vegetables. We are working to create videos with prep and cooking tips for you that only CSA members will have access to.

Tickets: CSA members will have first shot at tickets for any events we have at the farm.

Details: You can set your CSA Pickup Day either on Wednesdays from 3-6 or Saturdays 9-12. Please try to stick to your pickup day. We plan weekly harvests around CSA shares and changing days makes that trickier.

What if I want more than just my CSA share: You can add other items to your share. Just order them on our website and in the order notes let us know to add them to your share box and what day/time you plan on picking up or you can shop at our Saturday Farm Market.

What if I can't pick up my share or if I am on vacation: If you can't make a pickup please plan to have a friend or family member pickup your share for the week or we can donate it to a food insecure family. We work with The Branches in Rio Grande and donate produce on a weekly basis. We can add the contents of your box to the donation as well. The other option we have is giving you a coupon code for the week you miss that you can use online on our virtual farmstand.

Broccoli? Ew: ( I love broccoli actually) If there is a vegetable you HATE please let us know in advance of the season. We need to know ahead of the season and not on a weekly basis. We figure if you can't tell us in advance- you don't hate it that much. Who knows you may end up loving it.

Who should consider a share: If you eat mindfully and locally, appreciate the work that goes into growing organic, heirloom produce and want to support a local farm, this is totally for you.

Who should NOT get a share: If you are someone who will grumble about getting too many greens in May and wonder why there aren't melons or tomatoes in your Spring box, this is not for you and that's ok. CSA's are for folks who are happy to eat seasonally and understand why their box will be filled with delicious greens in spring and brimming with fruit and veggies in Summer. Please understand this before you order. Refunds are not a thing. Ordering is agreeing.

Once we get closer to the start of the season we will be reaching out to firm up pickup days and other specifics.
